Confirmation is your moment to stand up and consciously choose the Catholic faith as your own, and to be sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
This sacrament isn't a graduation; it's a commissioning. It's the "supercharge" for your soul, giving you the grace and courage you need to be a bold witness for Christ in the world.
The Power of the Holy Spirit
Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism. Through the anointing with sacred Chrism oil, this sacrament:
- Roots you more deeply as a beloved son or daughter of God the Father.
- Unites you more firmly to Jesus Christ.
- Increases the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit in you: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord.
- Empowers you to share and defend your faith with confidence and love.
The same Holy Spirit you receive in Confirmation is the one who transforms the bread and wine into the Blessed Sacrament. This gift deepens our reverence for the Eucharist and strengthens us to live what we receive at the altar.
Our Journey to Confirmation
Our preparation program is a two-year journey of discovery, designed to help candidates explore their faith, ask important questions, and prepare their hearts for this incredible sacrament. The journey includes engaging learning sessions, a powerful retreat experience, opportunities for service, and guidance in choosing a sponsor and a Confirmation name.
